At Zanav ("Zanav," "we," "us," or "our"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Zanav platform at zanav.io and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and other details you provide during account setup.
• Booking & Client Data: Information you enter into the Service, including client records, pet profiles, vaccination records, booking details, invoices, and notes.
• Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, browser type, device information, and IP address.
• Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and ensure the Service functions correctly. See Section 7 for more details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service: To operate, maintain, and deliver the features and functionality of the Zanav platform, including processing bookings, managing client records, and generating reports.
• Send Notifications: To send you transactional messages such as booking confirmations, reminders, and account alerts. You may also receive product updates and announcements, which you can opt out of at any time.
• Improve the Product: To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the performance, reliability, and user experience of the Service.
• Communicate with You: To respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and send important notices regarding your account or changes to our terms and policies.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database platform. All connections to the Service are encrypted using TLS/SSL. Data is logically isolated on a per-tenant basis, meaning your information is kept separate from other customers' data.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate the platform. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• Stripe — for processing subscription payments and billing. Zanav does not store your full credit card details; this information is handled directly by Stripe.
• Resend — for sending transactional emails such as booking confirmations, reminders, and account notifications.
• Twilio — for sending WhatsApp messages and SMS notifications to you and your clients.

We only share the minimum amount of information necessary with these providers to deliver the Service. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service to you. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data and User Content from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

Upon account termination, you will have a 30-day window to export your data. After this period, we reserve the right to permanently delete all data associated with your account. Certain information may be retained for longer periods where required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it.
• Export: You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format at any time.
• Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

Zanav uses essential cookies only. These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the Service and are used to maintain your authentication session and keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

Because these cookies are essential to the functioning of the Service, they cannot be disabled. By using the Service, you consent to the use of these essential cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or through the Service.
